A voluntary, non-commercial, non-political, and non-government organization serving the community

UMMAT Volunteers

Our Story

In early 1980s, some likeminded volunteers from our community in Quetta informally started working together to provide urgent support to poor and the most vulnerable families. Support such as food, fuel and medical supplies and they also started running social awareness and literacy classes.

The patience and commitment to serve the community pursued them to strategize their struggle that resulted in establishment of UMMAT as an organization in 1989.

Legal Status

UMMAT is a registered organization with Balochistan Directorate of Social Welfare and has the wide support of community members.

Empowering students from poor family backgrounds, supporting educational performance, and providing equal opportunities to both male and female students.

Student Success

Every year a handsome number of our students pass their Matric and F.Sc. exams with distinctions. Students from UMMAT are considered as responsible, enlightened, supportive, good role models.

Higher Education

92 volunteering teachers and members have completed or are completing their professional degree courses in Social Science, Accounting, Medical, Fine Arts, Management, IT, Education, Engineering and other fields.

International Studies

62 members have gone to study different professional fields on self-finance bases in universities of Pakistan and abroad in UK, Norway, Australia and Sweden.
